| Myrthful Animals Across
Space and Time are continuing to send their introductions - check back often to see who
else has said, "How De Du!?"
|
| Here is my C-Myrth animal - known as
the Squirrel. Squirrels are the original "bright-eyed and
bushy-tailed" ones. Valerie Jeanne

| Chipmunk: The curious, digger in the leaves. Storer of nuggets, of precious things, ever watching, ever listening. Susan Houghton |
| I am a little late in introducing
myself, and I beg you to excuse me. I am Guinevere Gwynyth Gwyth,
called. "Queen Goose." I come missing a few tail feathers,
since I have traveled far and have been through some hard times since Hans Christian
Anderson met me in Wales and wrote about me. I have come now by way of Canada, and a
migration with many of my kind to Planet Pictia, of the Blue Sun, in a Parallel Dimension.
Now that I have been exchanging Cartes d'Visites with other creatures who have
entertained me and treated me so well, just as if I were really one of them, I am
encouraged to show myself here in Myrth, and to make this official announcement to all who
have been so kind to me. I look forward to being with you all now for a very long
time, trading stories and adventures. Thank you all! Jenny Hunter Groat

| My name is Natalya Guineapova. I'm the keeper of
feelings, thoughts and memories. My favorite food is carrots. I live in the
Land of Wonders. Emrys Tennessen

| This is Nyssa the Care-Taker, daughter of Harald the
Elf King and Moonbeam the Billow Rider, Princess of Dolfinlandia, from whom she inherited
the ability to appear as a shadow whenever necessary (on porpoise, so to speak). Hailing
from the Seventh Level of the Universe of Gwynne, she calls no land home, preferring to
retreat to ocean grottos where she sheds her elfin trappings and resumes her
dolphin-shape, until called upon to assist and comfort the worn and aged. Andrea Robert

When Roxie Turtle is not hibernating, he is estivating. Some define the latter activity as a "summer stupor" which, though accurate as to season is to slander the thoughtful, ruminative activity in which Roxie is engaged. Roxie has the perspective of the great Indian mythmakers who claimed that the world humans experience is, in fact, supported on the shells of numberless turtles, extending all the way to the very basalt of Earth's origins. Roxie is a Mississipian, living in a quiet bywater, Mud Lake, Wisconsin. In the Summer, he keeps company with other creatures observing the world from his log; in Winter, he escapes the Northern cold to snooze in the soft mud bottom. Geese, Moose, Rabbits , and numerous other friends visit him and he, somewhat slowly, visits them. Since crossing roads is hazardous to his health, he keeps a rowboat handy for longer journeys. He enjoys reading and cooking. He is working through Proust slowly and reads a page of Joyce a day. He is computer literate, not just some old shellbacked slowpoke. Pete Groat
