Friends and Family
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Myrthful Animals Across Space and Time are joining in the time honored tradition of creating portraits of friends and family.  Who do you want to introduce to your Myrthful friends?
Flo and GNed
Flo, the Suburban Flamingo, proudly introduces her dear friend and neighbor, GNed, the Suburban Gnu.  GNed was actually born into captivity in the Oklahoma City Zoo, worked as a teen at the San Diego Zoo, and then moved on to the LA Zoo.  He met Flo at a zoological society fundraiser there.   In a silent auction, they were both bidding on a luxurious stay in a resort hotel, with multiple pools and a lagoon, in Las Vegas.  As they realized they were mostly bidding against each other, they started laughing and found they really liked each other, so they pooled their resources for a high bid and spent the resort stay together!   GNed subsequently moved into Flo's neighborhood in the suburbs, and has adapted wonderfully.
As GNed is retired now, he spends part of each day surfing the intergnet, meditates at gnoon, seeking the inner gnu and speculating on gnirvana, and self-publishes a quarterly gnuspaper.   He sometimes helps Flo in her detective job, strolling the beach with her and participating in undercover surveillance.
The Trickster!
Tatanka shares Mother Earth with the "Corn Sisters", Bufflao Spirit Dancer, Brother Elk, Little Swift Steed and the Vision Bird.  The all are good neighbors - but watch out for the Trickster!
Anty, Duke of Rorschach
Anty, Duke of Rorschach
Ma Mère l'Oye (Mother Goose) was staring at a blot of watercolor ink she had just made.  Instead of throwing the paper away, she tried to find out who was hiding in the blot...  and she soon beheld Anty, the ant-eater, duke of Rorschach (because of the blot, of course).   Anty lives now with Mother Goose, eating roses on Sunday, and wild mushrooms the rest of the week.  He likes to play hide-and-seek with all the fauna living on Roquefort bog.
