| Digger, the Chipmunk
crossed wind and wave to visit Antipodes. Queen Ant was especially
pleased to welcome her, since Digger is a slang name in her native land for
"friend". In the background, the infANTs are holding up the banner - being
more like pendANTs. Rita Mulcahy and Susan Houghton

| Squirrel, a defenseless
little rodent, visits Mirrim, the Cat, a carnivorous predator (or so I've
heard)! To protect herself, our resourceful Squirrel once again dons her
"Wildcat" costume and surrounds herself with plenty of intoxicating
catnip. Not to worry! Mirrim would never eat a friend. She's more into
smaller prey, fish, maybe mice. The catnip was much appreciated and promptly made
into tea. We had a beautiful week, with sunshine and hikes in the woods. Then,
the weather turned, with some hail and snow flurries. So, we curled up by the wood
stove with some roasted hazelnuts and catnip tea. Marie Finch and Valerie Jeanne
